“This experience with Mountain Riders was amazing! The views, the history of the mountain, the riding! The driver Abe was so careful and drove safely the whole time. Spencer did an excellent job with explaining some history and significant points of the mountain. I was nervous to ride and Manny really put me at ease and helped me have the best time! My Portuguese sister Nani was the best! I highly recommend this excursion.”

3.Maui Haleakala Self Paced Downhill Bike Tour with Mountain Riders

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 58 reviews · 2 to 3 hours (approx.) · from $139

Self-paced downhill biking from Haleakala with Mountain Riders: small group, helmet and bike included, plus water, snacks, and town stops.

“Fun, one of a kind experience. Definitely focused on the bike ride vs. history of volcano etc. be prepared to ride 20-30 mph down a nicely paved road. (That caught me a bit off guard). But I did it twice without pressure to be the fastest. Weather was bad so we didn’t get to see what I imagine from other pictures would be beautiful scenery. 40 minutes spent in small town was fun to poke in and out of shops. Rained so hard we ended up not riding the road back to the start, even though they gave us the option.”
